Current Term: May 2024-2027

Alex Payson joined the MFISD Board of Trustees in July 2017.

Alex is a founder of Numinous Coffee Roasters, a local cafe, bakery, and roastery that is blessed to serve the Marble Falls community.  He graduated from Brown University with an honors degree in Biology. After graduation, he first worked in a biochemistry lab in Puerto Rico and then helped start a philanthropic coffee company in New England.  He moved to Texas in 2013 and opened the doors of Numinous Coffee in 2015.

Alex is very fortunate to be married to Kathy Payson, an assistant principal here at MFISD.  Their inquisitive twins, Magnolia and Zellam, are enrolled at Marble Falls Middle School.  The whole family loves to run, bike, and explore the wonderful outdoors of the Texas Hill Country and beyond.
