The District of Innovation (DOI) Committee has been meeting in conjunction with DEIC and working on proposed amendments to the current Marble Falls ISD District of Innovation Plan that would go into effect for the rest of the 2021-2022 school year and continue for the 2022-2023 school year. The current Marble Falls DOI plan will expire at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. A DOI plan may be amended at any time during the designated period of the plan.

On December 1, 2021, the Marble Falls ISD District of Innovation (DOI) Committee and District Educational Improvement Committee (DEIC) voted to move forward with proposed amendments to the District of Innovation Plan. 

Proposed amendments to the plan include:
• Certification of Staff
• Transfer Students
• Removal of Unwanted Visitors
• Suspension of Students Below Grade 3
• Class Size Waiver for DAEP
• Expulsion from DAEP for persistent misconduct

The proposed amendments will be posted to this page for the required 30 days until the Marble Falls ISD Board of Trustees votes on the proposed amendment. 

The DOI Committee and DEIC will review feedback at their January 2022 meeting.

A public hearing regarding the proposed amendments will be held on January 18th during the Marble Falls ISD Board of Trustees meeting.
