MARBLE FALLS ISD ANNOUNCES NEW HIGHLAND LAKES PRINCIPAL AND A NEW HEAD BASEBALL COACH

Marble Falls ISD is proud to announce that Leslie Talamantes will be the next principal at Highland Lakes Elementary School. After a process that included input from the staff, parents, and central administration, District administration recommended and the Board approved the selection of Leslie Talamantes to serve Highland Lakes Elementary School as its next principal. Leslie has served as an elementary school principal, assistant principal, Bilingual/ESL coordinator, instructional coach, and bilingual teacher. In addition to that, she is herself bilingual and has strong ties to Marble Falls ISD and the larger community. Dr. Allen says “We are confident her leadership with support from the staff and community will result in the continuation of the good work taking place at Highland Lakes Elementary School”. Ms. Talamantes had a chance to visit with staff last Thursday where she received a warm welcome and expressed excitement about the opportunity to embrace this new role.

Marble Falls ISD is also happy to announce Coach Tyler Porter as the new Head Baseball Coach for Marble Falls High School. Athletic Director, Rick Hoover said, "We are very excited to welcome Coach Porter to Marble Falls. He brings a wealth of baseball experience with a proven track record of winning teams." There will be a meet and greet on Monday, June 10th at 6:00pm in the Max Copeland Gym with Coach Porter.

We’ve been looking for a quality town in Texas to raise our kids, and Marble Falls has been at the top of the list for a long time. I’m equally excited about the opportunity to lead and grow what has the potential to be a great baseball program. All the pieces appear to be in place, and I’m ready to be part of the group that can get this program to the next level for years to come. I’m ready to get to work helping to develop kids in this town from the youth leagues on up to the high school.” Porter said.
