The honorees are nominated and then voted on by their peers as professionals who best exemplify the work, dedication, student focus, and passion for loving and inspiring students on their campus.

The MFISD Teachers of the Year are recognized during faculty meetings and celebrations of success on each campus. The Teachers are featured on campus web sites, school marquees, and through your personal pat-on-the back for a job well-done. The Honorees will now be considered for our MFISD Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year Distinctions. The District Teachers of the Year will compete for Regional distinctions in the annual Region XIII Teacher of the Year Awards. District Teachers of the Year Awards and Paraprofessionals of the-Year-will-be-announced-in-May.
