Save a Life this Spring with the Falls Career High School Blood Drive

Falls Career High School educates around 40-45 students a year that are accepted through an application process. It’s a structured program that allows students an option for pursuit of a high school diploma in a non-traditional setting.

Mike Saenz is an English teacher at Falls, that helps the students each year learn what saving a life means. We Are Blood is an organization that puts on a blood drive twice a year for the benefit of Central Texans, with the help of Falls Career HS. “Since we are a small school, the success of our blood drives is wholly dependent upon our community. That we are so successful year after year is a testament to the good will and good actions of our community members,” says Mr. Saenz.

Monday, February 25th from 9:00am – 2:30pm, look for the Multi-Colored Bloodmobile in the parking lot across from MFISD Administration Building, one block behind Super Taco. Mr. Saenz stated, “The good folks at We Are Blood make it easy for us in the Highland Lakes community to save lives. Friendly, efficient and professional, they allow us to drop in anytime between 9-2:30pm and save a life in less than an hour,” “This provides a great lesson in responsibility for our students. They depend on us to help them save lives in Central Texas, year after year, semester after semester. Students learn that some responsibilities need to be continually met,” Mr. Saenz continued.

Make sure to spread the word and come out to support the hard working students at Falls Career High School and We Are Blood of Central Texas, to Save a Life! Here are all the details:
