MFISD Welcomes New Assistant Superintendent and High School Principal

During the regularly- scheduled Board of Trustees meeting on Monday evening, two key leadership positions were approved. Stan Whittle was named the Assistant Superintendent of Administration for Marble Falls ISD effective May 16, 2023, and Patrick Hinson was named the Principal at Marble Falls High School beginning the 2023-2024 school year. 

Stan Whittle will move from his current position as the Federal Programs Compliance Coordinator for MFISD to fill the Assistant Superintendent of Administration role that was left vacant upon the promotion of Dr. Jeff Gasaway to Superintendent. Whittle was raised in Marble Falls and graduated from MFHS in 1996. Stan Whittle moved back to Marble Falls in 2022 with his wife, Holly Whittle (MFHS class of 1996), who is the Marble Falls Elementary Counselor. Their children, Ellie, John Alan, and Drew attend Marble Falls High School and Marble Falls Middle School.

Whittle received an undergraduate degree at Lubbock Christian University, followed by a Master of Education at Texas Tech University and Superintendent Certification at Lamar University. He then served sixteen years in a variety of administrative roles in small, mid-size, and large school districts across Texas; Belton ISD (Large), Kerrville ISD and Marble Falls ISD (Mid-sized), and Mason ISD (Small).  He is an experienced Senior Director of Special Education, High School Principal, Junior High School Principal, and Elementary School Principal.  In addition, he served as an Assistant Principal at both the high school and middle school levels, lead a Discipline Alternative Education Placement campus, and was the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at Marble Falls High School. 

Whittle said, “My family and I have deep roots here and feel blessed to be back home again to be a part of the MFISD team.  With ten years of cumulative service to MFISD over the course of my career and over twenty-two years in education, I am confident that I have the right combination of characteristics and attributes needed to serve in this leadership capacity." 

Patrick Hinson will join Marble Falls ISD as the MFHS Principal. Hinson has twenty years of experience in education, and most recently served as the Principal at Blanco High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Freed- Hardeman University in Tennessee, a Masters in Educational Administration at Concordia University in Austin, and a Superintendent Certification at University of Texas, Tyler. Hinson has experience in small and large districts including Pflugerville, Lake Travis, and Blanco ISDs.

Hinson said, “I can bring the knowledge I have gained from leading as an administrator, my passion for my profession, and my servant heart to Marble Falls ISD and make a true difference in the lives of students, families, and staff in the community in which I live.”

Hinson and his family have been residents of Marble Falls ISD in Spicewood for seven years. Their son, Cade, is a graduate from MFHS and currently attends Texas Tech. Danielle Hinson, Patrick’s wife, is currently the Director of Human Resources for the District.

Dr. Gasaway said of the new leaders, “I know we found the best and most highly-qualified candidates to fill these leadership roles. Stan Whittle has a history of success in education and has dedicated many years of service to the Marble Falls community. Patrick Hinson is a strong addition to our leadership team and brings an inherent devotion to love and inspire students. I look forward to working closely with Mr. Whittle and Mr. Hinson over the coming years.”
