During the MFISD Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, January 17, Dr. Jeff Gasaway was named interim superintendent upon the departure of Superintendent Dr. Chris. Allen.

Dr. Gasaway has served the Marble Falls school district since 2016; he began his tenure as assistant superintendent and was promoted to deputy superintendent in 2021.

Dr. Gasaway earned his undergraduate degree at Texas Tech University and later received a Masters in Educational Administration from Texas A&M Commerce followed by a Doctorate in Education from Baylor University. Prior to his time in Marble Falls, Dr. Gasaway served for Midway Independent School District.

“I have full trust in our Board of Trustees, and I appreciate their faith in me to keep the district moving forward in this time of change,” said Dr. Gasaway.

Kevin Naumann, Board President, said to Dr. Gasaway, “We are looking forward to taking the next steps with you, Dr. Gasaway. Thank you for your leadership to this point and what is to come.”
