School Resource Officers announced for Marble Falls ISD Campuses
Texas Safe Schools Week is celebrated with an announcement that the Marble Falls ISD Board of Trustees has approved agreements with the cities of Marble Falls and Granite Shoals that will provide every school in both cities to have a School Resource Officer (SRO). This partnership demonstrates a shared level of commitment to school safety, community policing, and opportunities to strengthen trust between the community members and the organizations that serve them.
Discussion with the Burnet County Sheriff’s Office to secure an SRO for county schools is ongoing. District leadership continues to explore partnerships that will enhance school safety and encourage positive relationships in the community.
Marble Falls ISD Superintendent, Dr. Chris Allen, says, “We appreciate all the community members who are working to help us provide the best and safest schools possible.”
