MARBLE FALLS ISD NAMES NEW SPICEWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

Dr. Chris Allen, MFISD Superintendent, has named Kara Gasaway as the next Principal of Spicewood Elementary School. “Mrs. Gasaway checks EVERY box on the list of attributes, experiences and abilities the staff and parents identified as important for the next leader of Spicewood Elementary School. In addition, her experience with other campuses and departments has given her the opportunity to prove her readiness for this position.” said Dr. Chris Allen, MFISD Superintendent.
Mrs. Gasaway has been with MFISD for the last six years. During that time, she has served as a reading specialist, assistant principal at the high school and elementary level, and she is currently serving as Federal Programs Compliance Coordinator. She earned Bachelors of Business Administration from East Texas State and her Master’s in Education Administration from Texas A&M-Commerce.

“I’m looking forward to this new adventure in my career! Working with the students, staff and families at Spicewood Elementary will be so rewarding,” said Mrs. Gasaway. “Together, we can build upon the foundation that has been laid at Spicewood and continue to increase our positive impact on the lives of those in our community.”

The current Spicewood Elementary School Principal, Ms. Susan Cox, will be retiring at the end of the 2021-2022 school year. The transition will begin immediately.
