Marble Falls ISD Announces Curriculum & Instruction Leadership Updates

Marble Falls ISD is pleased to announce two promotions that will fill key leadership positions in the District. Yarda Leflet, Executive Director of Instructional Services, has been elevated to the position of Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, and Erika O’Connor, Colt Elementary School Principal, will serve as the Director of Elementary Education.

Yarda Leflet

“Mrs. Leflet has proven her planning and leadership effectiveness as the point-person for COVID related matters, services to disadvantaged students and families, facilitator of aligned District and Campus Improvement plans, and so very much more” said Dr. Chris Allen, MFISD Superintendent. Mrs. Leflet comes to the Assistant Superintendency having not only served MFISD as the Executive Director of Instructional Services but has also been the Falls Career High School Principal. While in Hays CISD she served as the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning and Interim Chief Academic Officer.

Mrs. O’Connor has experience as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and a principal.  In each role she has established herself as a leader among peers and been able to engender high levels of respect with all she has served. Dr. Chris Allen said, “Mrs. O’Connor’s experiences in education coupled with her knowledge of the District’s plans and processes make her the perfect person for this role”.

Erika O'Connor

Mrs. O’Connor will finish the school year as the Colt Elementary School Principal, and the work of identifying her replacement will start immediately.

The District is pleased with the internal promotions because they demonstrate ability and effectiveness related to identifying, nurturing, mentoring, and selecting leaders among leaders.
