• My name is Jennifer Solar and I am new to the Marble Falls area. I am so excited to be here and look forward to a successful academic yaer!

I was born, raised, and lived in New Orleans where I taught for four years with the Archdiocese of New Orleans. My family and I moved to the Houston area five years ago and I taught fourth grade Math, Science, and Social Studies in Pearland ISD.

Prior to teaching, I spent six years in law enforcement--two as a uniformed deputy, four as a detective in criminal investigations.

My education was primarily based out of Louisiana State University for three years then transferred to the University of New Orleans where I graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in the College of Sciences (Psychology). I went on to post-graduate work at Loyola University New Orleans and earned a Master's of Criminal Justice. While there, I became a published co-author of my thesis which was presented at the annual convention of the American Society of Criminology in Nashville, Tennessee.

Upon decision for a career changed, I attended and received my Alternative Teaching Certificate from Our Lady of Holy Cross College of New Orleans.
