Kevin Virdell was appointed to the Place 7 school board position, August 2016. He is a proud alumni of Marble Falls High School and holds a BA in Finance & Economics from Texas Tech University and MBA in Finance from St. Edwards University. In his professional career, Mr. Virdell is the Branch President for First State Bank Central Texas- Burnet Branch. In his personal time, Mr. Virdell is an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, serves as a parent-coach for the Granite County Youth Soccer Association, is a long-time advisor/volunteer with Highland Lakes Christmas is for Kids and is a former member of the Burnet Rotary and CASA-Highland Lakes Board of Directors. Mr. Virdell has a deep love for high school and college football and plays golf any chance he can get.
Mr. Virdell is married to Jennifer, a special education teacher at MFHS, and together they have two children, Kenley, a 2nd grader in the district and Kamryn, who is 4-years-old. Mr. Virdell has roots in the education system, growing up as a "coach's kid," so he has a deep appreciation for the time, effort and love that each one of our educators provide to the children of MFISD.
