Course Expectations English I PAP
The English II Honors course is designed to count as one of the required English credits for high school graduation and promote success on the national College Board Advance Placement Test. This course is designed to improve a student's ability to understand and analyze the motivations and techniques of writers in various genres. Each unit blends the reading of rich mentor texts with the opportunity for students to engage intimately with the process of analysis. The ability to read analytically and critically exists as a cornerstone for success in the work place, the military, and/or post-high school collegiate work. Understanding the function of genres is the gateway to understanding the world.
